[Updated note on June 13, 2025: This blog is from an experience during October 2024. It’s interesting that in June 2025 the optimal cost is still important, however, I’ve significantly reduced my image and video generation attempts due to environmental concerns and the issue of e-waste. And instead of relying on Jasper, I’m working with my team on an AI Agent.]
AI continues to take over the business world. While a few are still skeptical, those who have started taking advantage of AI have seen a massive improvement in their work processes, timelines, and results.
Especially with content creation, AI can do wonders for businesses that need fast execution of content.
The urgent need
For a client project, I had multiple deliverables to support the GTM (Go-To-Market) plan.
Sensing the urgency, I proposed we leverage AI content creation and the client agreed. Using three AI Tools – Jasper AI, InVideo, and Captions, I created and published three personalized blogs and two repurposed videos at a budget lower than $200. Without AI and doing these from scratch, how long do you think it would have taken, and how much more would it have cost?
While I can’t reveal the results, I can report the ad campaign had satisfactory results from the impression and CPC benchmarks.
If you, too, are invested in AI content creation for social media marketers, I think you will find this workflow interesting:
1. Writing: I used Jasper to create the first drafts of the blogs using knowledge bases (content that is used to personalize the blog) and brand voice. Getting to the first draft this way cuts down my writing time by a great dmeal. However, it still needed to be checked and edited thoroughly. Next, I made further SEO improvements to the content.
2. Video: Using Jasper, I converted the blogs into video scripts and tweaked them. Then, I generated a video using inVideo. The next step involved was working with a human video editor to change certain clips, enhance emotional cues, and repurpose them. Finally, I added subtitles via Captions and added the final touch.
AI content creation doesn’t necessarily mean using AI tools alone to create a finished product. You still have to do the writing, SEO, video conceptualization, and revisions. But with the help of AI tools, you can streamline your processes and enhance your creativity—saving you time and money significantly.
Tips and Lessons on AI Content Creation for Social Media Marketers:
For those of you who wish to get on board with AI content creation, here are some lessons I’ve learned that I want to share with you:
1. Always check AI generated content thoroughly
AI hallucination is real, and you will often find it makes a tiny mistake in the most significant area. So, read every word and check every frame before you hit publish.
In my case, Jarvis made the content too formal and didn’t always maintain the tone, while inVideo used some clips that weren’t emotionally appealing at all. I also noticed typos in some of the subtitles generated by Captions, and in some cases, it emphasized the wrong words. Here are the mistakes I noticed, just to name a few.
2. Humanizing is still the human’s job (thank God!)
No matter how many prompts are used, human touch is still needed to humanize AI-generated or AI-enhanced content. Again, avoid using AI-generated content as is. Read and reread it multiple times and make changes accordingly.
3. AI content creation can help improve your productivity
Even though the draft generation was sped up, the review process became extended. So it didn’t exactly 10x the speed of deliverables. However, the process of using AI improved the quality of the deliverables while shaving off production time and lowering brainstorming time, and that was very impressive to me.
4. Using AI isn’t magic
Contrary to popular belief, using AI tools isn’t like magic that, with a snap of the fingers, you’ll get exactly what you need. No, it doesn’t work that way. In my personal opinion, it wasn’t a walk in the park, and each service comes with its own learning curve. And the reiterative work isn’t everyone’s cup of tea either.
However, the more you use AI, the more comfortable you will be and, eventually, you’ll get the rhythm of how certain tools should be used to produce the best results in the least possible time.
My Final Thoughts on Using AI for Content Creation
I think the industry of such AI content creation tools might benefit if all the players sign a contract and commit to intentionally not automating every step in the creative process and leaving selected steps for us humans. I’m guessing this would help the transition of AI tools into a professional workplace and remove the stigma around using AI in creative work. When used responsibly, AI tools can help maximize human potential.
